I had the honor of photographing Eve + Jake’s stunning wedding day at the incredible new wedding venue in St. Louis, Westwind Hills. It was a gorgeous spring day, with not a cloud in the sky. Not only was their day beautiful, their connection was the star of the show. They were by each others side all day long, and the way you look at each other was something out of a movie! Eve and I were able to connect on a deeper level than just a bride/photographer relationship! All of my brides feel like good friends come wedding day, so I’m able to understand their vision in a deeper way and execute the vibe they’ve dreamed about! Eve’s vision for her elegant, dreamy day definitely came to life. I am forever grateful that this couple trusted me to capture such a stunning day.

The Venue: Westwind Hills

Westwind Hills is bound to make anybody’s jaw drop from the moment they roll onto the property. A luxury wedding venue located 40 minutes from downtown St. Louis, this venue is bound to make your elegant and classy wedding dreams come to life. All 11,000 square feet of the venue was intentionally designed by an event planner and photographer to curate a perfect photo opportunity in every corner. The wedding venue has wood detailing and finishes everywhere you look, features custom made reclaimed white oak beams, and boasts a modern yet classic design that can flow cohesively with any wedding design. One of the biggest takeaways of the design of the venue was the stunning getting ready locations. The bridal suit offers a large makeup counter, a gorgeous tall gold mirror, a kitchenette, and 15 feet floor to ceiling arched windows. This space doesn’t just offer a space to change into your dress, it offers an experience to feel comfortable while you get ready for such a big moment!

Not only are your design needs covered, it also covers your logistical needs! With two ceremony spaces, an indoor and an outdoor option, you won’t be left with a terrible indoor option if rain comes on your day ensuring a stress free event. The two spaces can be combined to accommodate larger weddings and events without feeling overcrowded. The cherry on top of this venue is the multi-use covered veranda overlooks the beautiful rolling hills of Missouri. From start to finish, Westwind Hills is bound to take your breath away and offer a timeless and elegant experience for you and your guests.

The First Look

Eve and Jake had the sweetest first look at their ceremony spot. They love their friends and family, and wanted to something unique to incorporate their first time seeing each other. Westwind Hills has a beautiful balcony where their bridal party stood to look over the sweet couple as they shared their moment. Whatever unique element you want, I’m here to capture it, and here for all it! Nobody said you had to have a traditional wedding, so do what makes sense for the two of you!

The Ceremony Space

Westwind Hills indoor ceremony space created a fine art feel to Eve + Jake’s wedding day. Using the clear acrylic chairs provided by Westwind, they designed the indoor space in runway seating. Creating a 360 viewing experience for the guests, it provided a unique experience and a creative edge to their day. Not to mention, how adorable at the flower grandmas?!
